4th of July - Lebanon Parade and Cruise-IN @ the Suds!
Please come and join us for Pizza, Parade in Lebanon and a HUGE Cruise-In at “The Suds in Greenwood on the 4th of July.
We will be meeting at 10:30 am at the Meijers located at 5349 Pike Plaza on Indy’s NW side and the "Pony Trail" will be leaving at 11:00 am SHARP!! We should be arriving in Lebanon’s Pizza Hut on N. Lebanon St. around 11:30am.

We will be leaving the Pizza Hut in Lebanon around 1:00pm and will begin the line up process for the Parade. You can bring candy to hand out to the kids as there will be about 35,000 people enjoying the parade route. We will be going 2 wide on the route as we are expecting about 25-30 Mustangs to line up. Please NO Burnouts as we will have the little ones coming out to get candy and we don’t want anybody to get hurt. Also please give plenty of room for the car ahead of you as the excitement will be overwelming and we want to make sure no accidents don’t happen in the parade. Please bring a cooler for yourselves like water or sport drinks as it might be a little warm in your car as we suggest not to run you’re A/C as your car might overheat. We had one last year but found out his regulator was going out . The route is about 1 hr. or so but you couldn’t tell it as things happen so fast you loose track of time.

After the parade, we are heading to a Cruise-In at one of Indiana oldest Drive-In's, “The Suds”, in Greenwood. They do have great food there as well as the original “Root Beer Float”. Alot of Car nuts like us hang out there as about over 1000 cars/trucks/bikes cruise there on Saturday nights. Rumors have it there maybe a Drive-by judging will be held. It’s a great time and make sure you bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the night. Time for everything should end about 8pm or so.

Also we will be having some friends from Old Cars Only Car Club from Indy joining us as I have entered 2 entries for them in the parade as they will be bringing some very nice 60-70’s Ford-GM-Mopar Vintage Cars and possible a HUGE Monster Truck. Fred is trying to get it completed before the event as this has been a 2yr project. Cross your fingers. They are fun to hang out with and they are just like us, having fun with their cars!

If you have any questions check on the forum or contact Jerri Moss.

Rustic Gardens - Miniature Golf
Rustic Gardens is one of the oldest mini golf courses in the U.S. It was built in 1930 and, except for some minor changes in the early 1960s, remains virtually intact. There are two courses on the two acre site: one has 18 holes, the other has nine. The courses are scaled-down regular golf (only natural obstacles, no windmills and such). The greens are packed sand/limetone which was common for regular golf courses in the 1930s. The fairways are natural grass. The clubs used originally did not look like today's putters but had special heads to create loft and had wooden shafts. They also has a modern driving range if any have the desire to test their driving strength.

Be at Rustic Gardens between 11:30am and 12:00pm
We will be eating afterwards at Edwards Drive-in.
If you have any questions, see Jerry Sullivan or Nick Sullivan.

MCI March Outing  "Ponies on the Run, Spring 09"

The MCI March Outing will be Saturday March 21st.  This is the First Saturday of Spring!!!.  The Outing will be a Pony Run, It will be State Roads 229 & 121 from Batesville to Connersville. Plan on meeting at the Stables Inc. Bar, 2165 Southeastern Ave by 10:30 am, I would like to leave promptly at 11:00.  State Road 229 & 121 are a couple of the most twisty & up & down roads in Indiana.  We will take I74 to the Batesville exit, then 229 to Metamora and then 121 to Connersville.  we will try to find a nice place to eat after we get to Connersville.  We can then take State Road 1 to I70 back home or SR 44 to Rushville then 52 back to Indy. This Will be about a 200 Mile Pony Run so make sure you fill up the tanks and empty the Bladders.  I am trying to see if Trooper Troy can make the Run with us and also if the Mustang Trooper from the Connerville ISP Post can meet up with us in Batesville.  I hope as many fellow Mustangers can make this Pony Run as possible, these Pony Runs can be allot of fun.

As time gets closer, we might try to find a place to meet about 8:30-9:00 for Breakfast.
