quick plug question

Postby stanga24 » Mon May 04, 2009 3:23 pm

I'm getting a set of Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm wires. Can i use an Iridium plug or would it burn too hot in a stock 3.8L and do damage to the rings? If so, what brand would you recommend? If i can't use them, what would be a good plug for upgraded wires? I figured someone would know a little more on this than me, so I don't waist money on something not needed or blow my motor. Thanks.

:D I don't know about the six , but I've been told that Motorcraft or Champions work the best in my 5.0.As far as the plug temp. goes, unless you're having a problem with detonation,I'd stay pretty close to factory recommendations on that. :)

it's been idling a little weird lately and at very low rpms....like around 25 mph just cruisin, but fine everywhere else. tho, the new wires and plugs should fix that....i hope. 70K on plugs and 100K on wires....gotta have some improvement there, lol.
