Might have to get me one of those 11's although wouldn't trade what i have. I think the 2010 may end up being kind of a cool transisition year thay may end up falling through the cracks over the course of time - they changed the body some but threw in the old power plant (with 15 more hp and a way better exhaust note) - similar to the 94-95 with the carry over 5.0's. The 5.0's to me were always way better than the 4.6's that followed and my fav of all time. It took Ford a few years to make the 4.6 kick ass and has become considerably better in the last 5 to 7 years than the 1st of the 96/97/98 model 281's. I think the 96-through 98's will be historically considered a bit anemic performance wise- not at the time- but will showed to be a bit tame (stock) historically over time. I will say, I love that body style myself- just wish they were 5.0's - those old 5.0's would stomp a mud hole in most peoples ride-- and still frequently do...glad they're coming back again but with some bigger TEETH this time...I would think Ford is gonna have to do some chassis/suspension/brake upgrades to deal with stock 400hp- cause you know they will end up getting tweeked way beyond that in the future. Nobody wants an old paint when they can ride a stallion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they will.

I have to agree with you on the 96 to 98 comment, seeing that I own a 98, I agree, but that's what is going to make the 94 to 98 worth more in the long run I think becuase people see them as a pooch, I put the PI head setup with cams and porting, what a difference....... I love owning the underdog, gooo underdog.
I haven't figured out your stomping a mud puddle comment though, MAybe I live too far north???

:? Whoa...you have to split up the '94-'95 from the '96-'98's.I love my 5.0,and that's nothing against the 4.6...but I would really miss the torque. The 4.6 is a more advanced and smoother motor, but c.i. is just something that I believe in. Listen,if it has 8 cylinders and two doors,it has potential. If it has a pony on it,it's just that much better! :twisted:Come on 2011!so once again I can have BOTH!

Oh Yes- absolutely Dave- The 94-95 were better in my opinion because of the 5.0's -no question- especially the 95 Cobra which I do keep my eye out for for myself. One could even say the 98 is different from the rest bcause they did put some weird parts on them like no other year-thus the saying" Fords got a better idea"....lol ... When Ford gets it right- its real right- when they try to save money- nickels and dimes on transition models- we usually don't know it until we already bought it and then- holy sh#@.

Okay- when i say your car ( or better yet a MUSTANG) can stomp a mud hole on someone's car---like a camero- its kinda like saying you can kick their slow weak %$!#^%!#%-. I agree with your comment about the 96-thru 98 about being special but yes, their performance was a bit watered down.. however, that just means we get to do more cool stuff too them. I always liked the 4 valve 4.6's and currently researching their history and why Ford would go from a 4V to a 3V- it seems like the more- the merieir--lol....

I currently own a 3V Supercharged 4.6- but the 5.0 have always been the best Ford engines to me. They came along when Mustangs really needed to get back to ruling the streets. They may not have had pure carte blanche dominance but they were as fast as anything else happening at the time and pure unadultered fun to drive----as they still are..There was a period of time when the early Fox Body Mustang GT's had a 5.0 badge but in reality had a 4.2 so you never know. ANYWAYS- good luck with your ride "and may the HP be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
